Pitman Training Group are actively seeking new franchise partners within the Lancashire area to own and operate a centre(s) in the main towns in the region. We are currently flexible on the specific territory but are aiming around the Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster, Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan areas.

Lancashire holds much potential for a new franchise partner and their Pitman Training Centre as currently there is limited Pitman Training presence in the area. With the nearest offices mainly being in Greater Manchester and Merseyside it holds great prospect for a new partner to get the pick of the county. There is a good amount of population and also 4 universities in the area, so there is the ethos for training and education in the county making a great potential untapped market for our new franchise partner.

Lancashire is home to four universities; Lancaster University, Edge Hill University, University of Central Lancaster and the Lancaster campus of The University of Cumbria. As well as these there are also seven colleges which offer higher education courses.

The largest private industry in Lancashire is the Defence Industry but nuclear power and manufacturing also hold a major presence in the area. Although retail and education/training aren't one of the largest industries in the area we believe this can be seen as advantageous as it implies less competition on your doorstep. Also the key fact is there are universities in the area which does help provide a key potential customer base and together with the Pitman Training ethos of enhancing peoples skills in the aim to change their lives by helping to gain the skills required to build a career, our franchising model does provide a recipe to work in anywhere where there are strong job opportunities or high career aspirations.
